The 30-Day Digital Detox Challenge: A Step-by-Step Plan

A progressive 30-day plan to reset your relationship with technology. Start small, build habits, transform your digital life.


Why 30 Days?


Research shows it takes 21-66 days to form a new habit. A 30-day challenge hits the sweet spot β€” long enough to create lasting change, short enough to feel achievable.


Week 1: Awareness (Days 1-7)


Goal: Understand your current habits without judgment.


  • Day 1: Install DistractionKiller and track your screen time for 24 hours
  • Day 2: Review your data. Note your top 3 time-wasting apps

  • Day 15: Enable Strict Mode for at least 1 session
  • Day 16: Check your Focus Garden β€” how many plants have you grown?
  • Day 17: Complete 6 focus sessions in one day
  • Day 18: Try the 90-minute Deep Focus session
  • Day 19: Set a personal record for daily focus minutes
  • Day 20: Share your streak on social media
  • Day 21: You've hit 3 weeks! Review your progress in Insights

  • Week 4: Mastery (Days 22-30)


    Goal: Make focused work your default mode.


  • Day 22: Enable AI coaching and follow its suggestions
  • Day 23: Add evening routine (wind down, no screens 1hr before bed)
  • Day 24-28: Maintain 4+ Pomodoro sessions daily
  • Day 29: Export your data and review the full 30-day journey
  • Day 30: Celebrate! Check your achievements and garden
